"2020 was the first year of the pandemic and my birthday was during lockdown. My mum was in Australia and couldn’t visit but she sent me this awesome cake that really made my day! "During the August 2021 lockdown I was in the last semester of my degree - working hard towards exams/final projects. Being stuck inside all day was hard so every morning before class I would head out for a sunrise bike ride. This helped me keep sane and start my uni day with a fresh mind. Sunrises are also beautiful! Most days consisted of a 40 km ride from Grey Lynn to Westhaven Marina to St Helliers bay and home, all before my flatmates woke up!"

"On a nearby hill/mountain, I met someone for the first time in person. We'd been talking online for a couple of weeks and had never met in person. Our first meeting we decided to have KFC together, he brought his picnic mat, and we sat at the top of the hill from morning until late afternoon. It was a surreal experience, spending 6 hours under the sun speaking to someone in person for the first time. And now we're together. :) Memories."
